AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE PAYMENT OF FINES AND LICENSES.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
YAMHILL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All fines
and penalties imposed for violation of City Ordinances may be enforced by action
against the offender brought before the recorders court, and all judgements
rendered in such cases shall be for the amount of the fine and the cost of the
action.
Section 2. When any
person against whom a fine and cost is adjudged, is unable to pay the same or
shall refuse to do so, or if he is sentenced to be imprisoned in the city jail
he may be sentenced to labor one day for each $2.00 of such fine and costs,
in charge of the marshall who may order such person to work under the supervisor
of roads, or any person in charge of city improvements or of any labor done
for the corporation.
