AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO
ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, AND EXPERIMENTAL DRUGS; REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 310 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF YAMHILL ORDAINS
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Alcoholic
Liquor. Provisions of the "Liquor Control Act", ORS 471, as The same now
exists or may hereafter be amended, are hereby adopted as the rules, regulations
and penalties of the City of Yamhill as it may relate to alcoholic liquors generally.
Section 2. Alcoholic
Liquor by Individual Drink. Provisions of the "Oregon Distilled Liquor Control
Act", ORS 472, as the same now exists or may hereafter be amended, are hereby
adopted as the rules, regulations and penalties of the City of Yamhill as it
may relate to alcoholic liquor by individual drink generally.
Section 3. Controlled
Substances and Experimental Drugs. Provisions of the "Uniform Controlled
Substances Act", ORS 475, as the same now exists or may hereafter be amended,
are hereby adopted as the rules, regulations and penalties of the City of Yamhill
as it may relate to controlled and/or experimental drugs generally.
Section 4. Repealer
Ordinance No. 310 enacted February 9, 1977, and any subsequent amendments thereto
are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Saving Clause.
Notwithstanding Section 5, Ordinance No. 310 and any subsequent amendments shall
remain in force for the purpose of authorizing the arrest, prosecution, conviction
and punishment of a person who violated that ordinance prior to the effective
date of this ordinance.
Section 6. EMERGENCY
CLAUSE. The Council desires and deems it necessary for the preservation
of the health, peace and safety of the City of Yamhill that this ordinance take
effect at once, and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
