AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF YAMHILL, AMENDING CITY ORDINANCE NUMBER 371, PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE SEWER DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF YAMHILL.

WHEREAS, the Yamhill City Council deems it necessary to review and occasionally update the current Rules and Regulations for the Operation of the Sewer Department; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it necessary to clarify duties related to financial issues to the appropriate City Employee; and

WHEREAS, all financial issues have been assigned to the City Recorder/Treasurer for the City of Yamhill, NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY OF YAMHILL ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Ordinance #371, Section "11.6.1 Delinquent Notice" shall be amended to read as follows:

11.6.1 Delinquent Notice. A reminder of account delinquency shall be sent, at the discretion of the City Recorder, to each delinquent account on or about five (5) days after the account becomes delinquent.

SECTION 2. Ordinance #371, Section "11.6.5 Installment Payments of Delinquent Accounts" shall be amended to read as follows:

11.6.5 Installment Payments of Delinquent Accounts. In cases of extreme hardship, the City Recorder shall have the discretion of renewing service to a delinquent account upon receipt of a satisfactory installment plan for the payment of the overdue amount, including the delinquent charge.

SECTION 3. All remaining provisions of Ordinance Number 371 are hereby reaffirmed in their entirety.
