     Welcome to the Water Treatment Plant page! Water is a very important and precious resource, yet for years we have taken it for granted. That is changing. People are beginning to realize its importance and value. High water bills certainly bring the message home. We are lucky here in that we do have enough water- so far. However, there is only so much water on the planet, and there are more and more people all the time.

     The goal of the City of Yamhill's water treatment plant operators is to provide clean, safe, palatable water. We also want there to be plenty of it for people's consumption as well as for fire protection. We work hard to do this. Presently we are using an old, out-dated plant which sometimes makes it a bit of a challenge. That should change once the new water treatment plant is built.
